The 2024 American Massage Championship would be Star's last competition.  Coming off an unexpected world championship, she had only one goal in mind:  improve.

The night before the competition, awards were handed out in relation to all of the state competitions that took place for the 2024 season.  Star received two (2) awards as a result of her performance at the Illinois Massage Championship which earned her the Overall Gold Medal:

• Highest score in the nation for Eastern Freestyle massage category

• 3rd highest score in the nation for all massage categories.

​

While competitors are able to participate in two (2) categories, Star decided to participate in only one category - the one she did not receive a medal in last year - Eastern Freestyle.  She prepared two different Eastern routines - one on the floor, and one on the table.

Star received the Bronze Medal in the Eastern Freestyle category. 

 

This was a great end to her 2nd (and said to be final) year in massage competition.  Competing has helped her grow as both a massage therapist and person.  Pushing yourself to improve and jumping out of your comfort zones always leads to growth.

​

While she has said she is done as a competitor, that does not mean she is done being involved in massage competitions.  She was recently asked to attend the Canadian Thai Massage Championship in Fall 2025 and also a massage competition in Japan in November as a guest. 

 

Whether it's as a guest, performing a demonstration, or a judge, she is ready and willing to be involved in any way possible when it comes to massage competitions.  She understands the importance these events bring when it comes to growing the industry and helping others grow and develop.
